The company was shown PPE's usage monitoring for all operations in the property and mill dated 23 July 2016. Then the RSPO Secretariat requested Sime Darby Plantations to change the calculation methodology in the LUCA which initially used the percentage to the land area, so Sime Darby Plantations took time to change the entire LUCA report. Change the LUCA reporting methodology as requested by the RSPO Secretariat (Corrective action by email attached). Sime Darby Plantations agreed to change all LUCA reports, but due to changes in the calculation methodology, the SDP is taking time to review the report.
The RSPO agrees that as long as Sime Darby Plantations can demonstrate commitment and active participation with the RSPO for the review and finalization of the LUCA report, the certification/monitoring process should not be disrupted. So on 8 September 2017 there was a response from RSPO stating that in accordance with the decision of BHCVWG 7.3.1 non-compliance can be compliance and the certificate can be continued. However, the RACP is still incomplete and should be noted in the RACP audit report to be completed at the next audit (ASA 2), if failed the certificate may be suspended.
