The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the success of the national football team in the wake of the failure of the Asian cup. The present research method in terms of the interpretive approach is the way in which strategy is an analysis of latent content as a strategy. The data format is the text of an interview in the newspapers, video (extracted in sports), and voice (extracted from the sports radio network). He researcher used descriptive coding method and a process for initial coding and then began to explain the categories and then in the next step, axial coding and pilot coding was achieved in the final model of failure.
The process was implemented in Maxqda version 18.The statistical population comprises experts and experts in the country's football field. Considering the opinion of 25 experts, coaches and veterans of the football field about failure factors, researchers have analyzed this volume of samples using open and axial coding. After reviewing the characteristics of the expert’s demographic population, the researcher analyzed the collected interviews with feedback received from each interview, subsequent interviews were corrected or redefined.
Finally, after analyzing the number of 26 interviews, the researcher achieved a theoretical saturation point. In continuation, in the open coding process, first the meaningful units are taken into the smaller components and the facts that these components refer to are either the concept of the original proposition or code.
Then based on the relations of these initial statements, categories or categories were identified. After analyzing the meaningful units, the number of 459 of the first code was identifiedthatdue to the repetitive and disconnected content, 118 code was extracted with different frequencies. the findings showed that the performance factor of the team with 121 and management factors and coaches, respectively, has the highest importance coefficient and judgment factor, 7 and 2, respectively, increasing the importance coefficient in terms of frequency of 7 and 2 respectively.Failure to hold appropriate preparatory visits, lack of attention to strategic planning and weakness in the implementation of programs, and mismanagement of management factors were addressed in this study. It also appears to be a factor in the coach's performance category, the coach's power, tension with other coaches, lack of attention to the elite, and … the importance of the national team's failure. In addition to identifying the factors affecting the failure of the Iranian national football team in the nation’s cup competition, a final model tries to provide a model to prevent the repetition of past mistakes using the supervision of Iranian football experts.
