Locations of Assessment RC Manggala POM
Observation on chemical handling and interview with chemical warehouse staff on chemical material handling procedure, emergency handling and implementation of occupational health and safety. Observation on the proficiency of emergency response facilities and occupational health and safety (first aid kit) and interview with welders regarding training, medical examination, the implementation of occupational health and safety, safety working procedure, complaints mechanism, freedom to join a union and salary. Observation on hazardous waste management based on applicable regulations and interviews with hazardous waste landfill personnel regarding medical examination, hazardous waste management and proficiency of pollution and exposure instruments.
The actual size of the hazardous waste landfill was = 5mx7.5mx3.5m. The landfill was equipped with fire extinguishers, first aid kits, SOPs for emergency response and PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, goggles and mask. In addition, the auditor found the incoming balance (hazardous waste balance), hazardous waste report, hazardous waste delivery record with CV Amindi Barokah Medan. The last shipment is based on data from July 1, 2015. Hazardous waste existing in the mill, such as: used oil, used packaging, lamps, gloves, contaminated goods, fibers and used oil filter.
Observation at the IPAL basin showed that 10 basins were active and equipped with magnetic type flow meter inlet and outlet. The wastewater sampling location was determined at a permanent location.
