ASSESSMENT FINDINGS

Summary of Assessment Report of the RSPO Certification

Lanting Estate (LNE), Matalok Estate (MLE), Sangkoh Estate (SNE) and KKPA Sungai Cengal (KKPA-ASC) The company has identified rules relevant to plantation operations ie. the list of compliance evaluation of SOU rules 10 period 2016/2017 prepared on 4 October 2016 and informs relevant P & C, criteria, rule number, title, requirements, compliance status and remarks. Based on the results of the field visit and interview with the departmental assistant at Sangkoh Estate (Block E-28, Division 1), it is known that the company is in the process of replanting. The company has had procedures for preparing SOP documents (023/SAA-PDS/10, adopted on 1 July 2010).

Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the company has implemented the application of by-products for the purposes of the nutritional cycle. Based on the observations, the company has allowed wild plants to grow around the valley (bush condition) and in addition the company also does not allow any chemical related activities on the five palms of the rim of the valley (there are marked signs). The company had the IPM program and current activities in the MCM (Monthly Committee Meeting) manager's document.

Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the company has made an overview of the pesticides used. The company has procedures in place regarding chemicals, such as spraying and pest control (Policy 110/EST-ARM/13, Section 15 Crop Protection (the control of horn beetle, leaf caterpillars, rodents and Ganoderma disease) and Section 16 Weed Control). The company has procedures in place regarding chemicals, such as spraying and pest control (Policy 110/EST-ARM/13, Section 15 Crop Protection (the control of horn beetle, leaf caterpillars, rodents and Ganoderma) and Section 16 Weed control).

This is not in accordance with the procedures that were owned by the company. As a result, there is no training to improve the productivity of smallholder farmers. The effort is to increase the income of the community through the participation of local contractors in areas such as FFB transport. According to the RSPO compensation statement received by CB via email on 22 January 2018, it was clearly stated that “RaCP for PT Laguna Mandiri is still ongoing.

Summary of Assessment Report of Supply Chain Requirements

Status Certified Product sold from Rantau POM via RSPO PalmTrace period 6 December 2017 – 30 November 2017:. Participant list for Supply Chain Certification System (SCCS) training in Rantau POM on March 7, 2016 with 14 participants, consists of Mil Manager, Laboratory Staff, Analyst, Weight Bridge Operator, Grading Foreman, Production Administration and Head of Security. The site must verify and document the amount of certified and non-certified FFBs received.

Rantau POM uses IP model for their supply chain, where all the FFBs entering the mill are sourced only from the certified area. This means that part of the managed area is non-certified for KKPA-ASC and has been provided to Rantau POM. Therefore, Rantau POM did not verify and document FFB's volume of certified and non-certified sources.

Based on Three monthly basis Mass Balance records during period 6 Feb 2017 to 18 Nov 2017, showing that the FFB's receipt and processed as well as delivery of certified product (CSPO & CSPK) was carried out by Rantau POM. This average indicates that FFBs from non-certified area of KKPA Sungai Cengal are still being supplied and processed in Rantau POM. Therefore, Rantau POM lacks evidence to prove that records of mass balance on three monthly basis clearly described that all receipts of FFBs and delivery of CPO & PK are from certified sources only.

Therefore, Rantau POM lacks evidence to ensure and verify through documented procedures and registration that the RSPO certified oil palm product is kept separate from non-certified material, including during transport and storage.
